(PAARL) is pleased to invite you to the Marina G. Dayrit Memorial Lecture Series (MGDMLS). This year&#8217;s theme is \u201c<strong>Librarian\u2019s Research Compass: Navigating &amp; Mastering Scholarly Inquiry<\/strong>.\u201d The event will include a comprehensive three-day hybrid research capability training program designed to equip participants with strong research skills for professional development and active engagement in scholarly inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading gtfy-7\">Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-10\">For <strong>Part I<\/strong>, the participants are expected to design research projects with practical relevance by understanding the librarian\u2019s evolving role in scholarly inquiry, overcoming psychological barriers to writing, formulating the research question, and applying effective research and data management techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-13\"><strong>5 September 2025<\/strong> Part I, 9am-5pm (via Zoom teleconference)<br><strong>8 CPD Points<\/strong> <em>(For qualified members &#8211; Blando<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-72\">Prof. Paolo Josef L. Blando is a seasoned educator and development professional with a strong background in Religious and Values Education, training and development, and educational leadership. He currently serves as the Programs and Partnerships Development Officer at the National Teachers College (NTC), where he previously held roles as Academic Affairs Coordinator and has been recognized with both the 5-Year Service Award and the Tatak Tanglaw Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-75\">Prof. Blando holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Liberal Arts, major in Philosophy from Christ the King Mission Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Education, major in Religious Education from Miriam College. With over two decades of experience in basic and higher education, including leadership roles at Claret School of Quezon City, he remains committed to advancing innovative and values-driven education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-78\">He has actively participated in international and local training programs on AI in education, project management, and educational innovation, including the ASEF Higher Education Innovation Lab and Google AI Essentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-81\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-84\"><strong>Dr. Linda Cangayao<\/strong>, LPT, RPm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-87\"><strong>Dr. Linda Cangayao<\/strong>, is an educator, licensed psychometrician, and researcher with expertise in psychology, education, statistics, and inclusive counseling. Currently, she is the Dean of the School of Teacher Education (SOTE)\/ Graduate Program SOTE, National Teachers College (NTC), and teaches at the Graduate School where she also served as Program Head from 2021 to 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-90\">Dr. Cangayao holds an AB in Psychology from NTC, a Master\u2019s in Education major in Measurement and Evaluation from Miriam College, and is currently completing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at NTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-93\">Her work spans national and international research collaborations, including projects with the British Council, PBEd, DepEd, and Edcom 2. She is one of the lead researchers of the EDGE (English and Digital for Girls&#8217; Education) initiative and a contributing syllabus writer for teacher education reforms under RTIQ and PNU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-96\">With a strong commitment to mental health awareness, inclusive education, and data-informed teaching, Linda regularly conducts and attends professional development seminars, including those on Google Education, AI, and educational leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-99\"><strong>Prof. Rona Lynne A. Federizo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-102\"><strong>Prof. Rona Lynne A. Federizo<\/strong> is a dedicated educator and researcher specializing in Physics Education, Science Education, Chemistry Education, and Educational Research. She currently serves as the Research and Publication Officer at the National Teachers College in Manila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-105\">Prof. &nbsp;Federizo holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics for Teachers from Philippine Normal University and earned both her Master of Physics Education and Master of Science in Science Education from Ateneo de Manila University, where she was recognized as a Distinguished Scholar in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-108\">Prof. &nbsp;Federizo has led and participated in several local and international training programs and research initiatives, including projects funded by the British Council.
